SAGEUSA: Intergenerational Podcasting with LGBT+ Older Adults

Through our work with SAGEUSA, The People’s StoryLab, LLC taught LGBT+ older adults to use podcasting to share their stories and perspectives. The intergenerational project brought older adults’ voices together with those of LGBT+ youth through recorded episodes featured in The Colors of Sound’s “The SAGE USA” series.

The project created space for people across generations to listen, learn, and tell stories rooted in their lived experiences.

The College Bridge Cafe: Student Storytelling in Washington Heights

In partnership with The College Bridge Cafe, The People’s StoryLab, LLC brought The Art of Storytelling to students at Harold O. Levy School (CS 52) in Washington Heights, New York City. Students developed, recorded, and published original stories in Spanish, exploring topics such as family relationships and their hopes for the future.

Students practiced shaping a story, recording their ideas, and sharing their work with an audience. Their completed episodes were published on various podcasting platforms.
